Meeting at the Mill
The StoryThe setting for this painting is Bridgeton, Indiana in the mid 19th century. They say this is the only place it Indiana where a mill, bridge and a waterfall all exist together. A sleepy little town grew up around the mill and every year they hold a festival there known as the Covered Bridge Festival. The mill is still operating but sadly the bridge, built in 1832 was destroyed by an arsonist in the Spring 2005. Roger DeWitt, Artist
